GED Testing Service, in conjunction with ACE, has filed a federal lawsuit to shut down a network of fraudulent websites that are unlawfully using the GED® trademark. These sites mislead adult learners and award false high school equivalency and GED® test credentials.

GED Testing Service has developed a public relations campaign to inform test-takers, third-party organizations, members of the media, GED Administrators™ and state adult education directors about the lawsuit. GED Testing Service went public with the suit this morning and was featured on The TODAY Show.

Race to GED® for a Stronger Economy

In today’s high-tech environment, a minimal high school credentialed workforce is required to sustain a strong business climate and attract economic development opportunities. Our area is historically a labor-intensive area dependent upon manufacturing and agriculture to sustain the economy.

These are the facts:

  • A region’s capacity to grow current and attract new business and industry is significantly impacted by the education level of its workforce.

  • State tax revenues are generated as individuals improve their literacy and, subsequent employment status and purchasing power.

  • Adults with a high school diploma or GED® certificate have an unemployment rate substantially lower than those without.

  • The progression of individuals away from public assistance improves their quality of life and the state budget.

Education can accelerate your earnings and keep you a lifelong learner!  Adults 25 years or older with a GED® certificate or high school diploma, earned on an average $7,000 more than those who have neither.

A GED® Credential Really Makes a Difference

"You’re never too old…I received my GED® credential at the age of 46! I wanted this for such a long time but life keeps you busy. My wife started a child development business and if I wanted to be part of it I needed a better education. I was able to achieve my GED® credential and then went on to receive an Associates Degree. Learning is a lifelong experience…I encourage you to take advantage of it!"– Paul McKenna

"Getting my GED® credential has opened so many more doors for me and my family. I’m living proof you can go back, get your GED® credential and improve your life not only for yourself but for the ones you love most." – Danny Motley

GED® Graduates Have The Ability To:

  • Obtain gainful employment in any major company in the area

  • Enter a four-year college, community college, the military or other technical programs

  • Advance your position and training with a current employer

  • Prepare for the future in which 70% of all jobs will require some college or technical training

  • Help your children achieve their goals in school
